Common questions about the source registry
- How does the registry differ from the archive?
- The registry shows what published claims rest on and links each source to events. The archive gathers portal material by section: news, documents, sources and media.
- Where does the material itself open?
- On the source page: it gives the availability of the material, a link to the publisher's publication and, if the original is closed, an archived copy whose access is permitted. When neither is available, the reviewed metadata remains.
- Why does a source have no publication date?
- A date is shown only when it is established. Its absence does not block the record: the link between the source and the claims remains, and the date itself can be checked against the publication.
