Archive: common questions

How is the archive different from the chronology?
The chronology presents events by date. The archive is an index to the records about them: publications, documents, sources, terms, organisations and places. The same material can be reached by date or through an archive section.
Why is a section missing from the index?
A section appears in the index when it holds at least one published record. If a section is absent, material of that kind has not been published yet – it has not been lost.
